Interrupting spells?
Terribly sorry if this question has been answered, but I couldn't find anything that asks it.
So my question was with skills that interrupt "spells" such as "Power Spike" under the mesmer's illusion line. Does it work when someone is casting things like "Hex spells" ?? Because it has the word spells in it I'm not sure if it'll interrupt. While I was playing I usually spammed power spike and the likes when someone casted anything that had the name "spell" in it. So does a Hex spell count as a Spell or a Hex, and is it affected when using Power spike? I didn't get to really notice... Thanks in advance |

Hexes (and Enchantments) are a type of spells. Other spells are just simply called Spells since there's no need to further group them. So yes.

yeah. It's like, every skill in the game is a skill. But some skills, are just "Skill"s. Like Troll Unguent, 't is a 'Skill'. Blackout says "all of target foe's skills are disabled", that does mean all the skills, and not just the skill type "Skill". Likewise, Enchantment spells and hex spells are spell types, so they fall under the collective "spells", but not under the skill type "Spell".
